Scheduling Appointments
Effective orthodontic treatment relies on adjustments made at regularly scheduled intervals. Although your treatment is personalized and will vary depending on your individual needs, active orthodontic treatment does require an appointment every few weeks.
To make this process as convenient as possible and to minimize conflict with work or school schedules, we have developed considerable time and effort to designing our scheduling system.
Our Approach
To accommodate our patients' scheduling needs, longer appointments, which are less common, take place during school hours. Shorter appointments are scheduled either before or after school. This ensures that one or tow patients do not fill an entire afternoon. Instead, as many patients as possible are scheduled for after-school appointments. If you should ever wish to come to the office during a quieter time, please ask to schedule an appointment during school hours.
You will find that some appointments take less time than others. During your treatment, even some technical adjustments may be completed quite quickly. We believe our efforts have produced treatment methods that minimize inconvenience to your schedule.
Since appointments are carefully coordinated, your late arrival can pose a problem. In fairness to other scheduled patients, we may not be able to adjust the schedule to accommodate you. Therefore, if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, it may necessary to reschedule to a later date
Rescheduling Appointments
We realize that unexpected circumstances may arise from time to time and necessitate a change in appointment or, perhaps, cause you to miss an appointment. We will do our best to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible; however, in order to avoid a delay in treatment, it may become necessary to reschedule your after-school appointment to one during school hours. Additionally, missed appointments or numerous appointment changes will inevitably result in an extension of your treatment time.
