Appointment Policy

Scheduling Appointments

Adjustments made at regularly scheduled intervals are an integral part of effective orthodontic treatment. Even though your treatment plan is tailored to your orthodontic needs, an appointment every few weeks will be necessary to provide active orthodontic treatment.

Considerable amounts of time and effort have been put into designing our scheduling system so as to minimize conflicts with your work and/or school schedules, and make your appointments as convenient as possible.

Our Approach

To ensure that as many patients as possible are scheduled for after school appointments, shorter appointments take place before or after school hours. Less common, longer appointments are scheduled during school hours. This helps us to see as many patients as possible each afternoon. If you wish to visit our office during a quieter time, please ask for your appointment to be scheduled during school hours.

Not every appointment will take as long as others. There may be times during your treatment that even technical adjustments are made within a short amount of time. Our staff has worked hard to create treatment methods that minimize inconvenience to your work and/or school schedule.

All appointments are carefully coordinated, so it is important that you show up on time for your designated time slot. If you arrive to your appointment late, we may not be able to accommodate you so as to be fair to other scheduled patients. It may be necessary to reschedule for a later date if you are unable to keep your original appointment.

Rescheduling Appointments

We understand that from time to time unforeseen circumstances arise and you may need to reschedule your appointment. Even though we will try our best to reschedule your appointment for a time that is convenient for you, it may be necessary to switch a late afternoon appointment for one during school or work hours so treatment is not delayed. It is important to note that multiple missed or changed appointments will inevitably extend the length of your treatment time.
